Chalk Art

The Utah Foster Care Foundation has a Chalk Art Festival at the Gateway every summer. Different artists sign up and get their own designated spot on the street to do their art with chalk. It was pretty amazing...impressive what people could do with chalk in the middle of the street!

There was a Kids section where they could do their own art. Gracie was hard at work! The girls begged me to buy them a bucket of chalk for home, so I did. They picked up tips from the artists they saw working at the gateway and used their techniques in their own sidewalk creations.

Here is Maddie's fairy she drew at home. Notice the detail of the dress and the crown on her head.
