What a great Independence Day 2007! Ryan had to work most of the day, and we were adopted by our good friends the Eskelsons and Sappenfields. They are related and had a big backyard barbecue with all their extended family. When they heard we were not going anywhere and that Ryan was going to be working till later, they invited us to join their family. They both have kids Maddie and Gracie's age so they had a blast. We are so grateful to have such good friends here. Then we picked up Ryan and met the same friends plus some others at just about the best spot you can get for the Kaysville fireworks show. What an awesome production they put on! We were almost directly underneath them, you pretty much had to be lying on your back to be able to see them. They had the fireworks planned out and in sync with a bunch of music, including Neil Diamond's America song, I'm Proud To Be An American, God Bless America, plus lots of other instrumental music. Kaysville does an amazing job! A perfect night with perfect weather, an awesome patriotic show, snowies and glow in the dark necklaces. Happy Fourth of July!

What a darling picture! I'm glad and a little jealous you have such nice friends and lots of fun community things. Vegas didn't have much happening for the fourth...but when it's already 120 degrees outside, who wants to light fires and make explosions??
