So I am leaving town tomorrow and tried to get the house a little clean before I left. Key word there is tried. Not successful though! Between the laundry, packing, rearranging scouts, Maddie's animal report and Flat Stanley presentation, dinner, etc...It didn't get done. I was looking at my cluttered bedroom and thought; this might make an interesting list!
Items currently on my bedroom floor:
1. Bin of scrapbook paper
2. Another bin of scrapbook paper
3. Stampin' Up catalog
4. Receipt from target
5. Kid sunglasses
6. Wallet
7. 6 random pieces of paper
8. 3 pairs of pants and a shirt (all Ryan's)
9. Basket of ironing not yet done
10. 2 butterfly nets
11. My "N" shoes (New Balance)
12. Ryan's tennis shoes
13. Maddie's pink blankie
14. My makeup bag
15. Pieces of stepped on popcorn
16. A band aid wrapper
17. A Hershey kiss wrapper (peanut butter kind...yum)
18. A basket with kids clothes that need to go into storage
19. Basket with dirty PJ’s and 5 puzzles (?)
20. Small CD player / radio
21. Set of Knifty Knitters
22. Bag full of yarn
23. Basket full of yarn
24. Another basket full of yarn
25. 2 chairs
26. A candle
27. Bag full of garbage (used tissues and empty water bottles)
28. Very small pieces of cereal boxes and other food containers (I volunteered to trim, count
and sort all the box tops for Maddie’s class. There were over 400 hundred of the little tiny
squares I had to cut out.)
29. The Jewel Kingdom (a second grade level chapter book)
30. A Topsy Tails hair tool
31. A Finding Nemo tape, which is not really Finding Nemo anymore because we use it to tape

So I got to exactly 50! Wow. I need to clean. At least the rest of my house or at least the upstairs is picked up. Keep in mind, my room is not big, and this does not count anything under the bed!

holy moley...that is all i can say. i probobly am not far behind some days. really, cleaning is overrated anyway.

in the amount of time it took you to make that list, you could have cleaned up your room! It must have been the week of cleaning rooms, for my goal this past week was to be able to find my own floor... taaa daaaa!!! it took awhile, but yes, I found it for an entire day and then I gave up again trying to keep it picked up. the kids play in here while i'm working on the computer doing my photos, so they bring all kinds of crap in here! love you jess!

Amelia drove me over there to pick up the truck whilst you were out of town. I was about to take her in to see the kitchen and stuff when Ryan stopped me in my tracks. He had a fearfull look in his eye as he suggested she see it some other time. When you were not out of town.
I read or think about this post everytime I walk into my messy bedroom and it make me feel better.
