Dime Lake

Over Labor Day weekend we took the trailer camping. We found a spot off the road along Mirror Lake Highway in the Uintas. All the campgrounds were PACKED. It was crazy, like going to Costco on a Saturday. We found a cool little spot )NOT in a campground) just down off the highway by a little creek that was quiet and so pretty. The next day we wanted to take the girls fishing, but every lake was lined along the shore by tons of people with the same idea. Leave it to my Ryan to know of the perfect little hidden lake only found on the most detailed maps. It is only a 10 minute hike from the road, and there was nobody there. Saturday...Labor Day weekend and it is empty! We had a picnic and spent the whole day playing and fishing, catching pond moss and watching the huge, blue dragonflies that were everywhere. It was magical! Posted by Picasa
